My BIG Announcement (I got quite emotional…)

Today is the day.  This is it!  Today I finally announce what’s been going on behind the scenes with me for months.  This week’s video is a bit longer than usual, but it’s me talking heart to heart with you.  I got quite emotional at one point; but I just couldn’t help it.

I’ll keep this message short and sweet and let the video do the talking.  Please leave me a comment below to let me know your thoughts…it would mean a lot to me to hear from you.

How Should Parents Deal With the Connecticut Tragedy?

After we heard the news we all went into shock. Then, we were faced with the question of whether or not we should share this tragedy with our children.  I have a very definitive position on this.  Some may disagree with me, but from my experience, knowledge and research I feel utterly sure of what I am advising.

In the coming weeks please know that I will support you on this journey.  I will be providing you with empowerment.  How YOU and your KIDS can help make the world a better place…and this never starts too young, folks.

As Gandhi said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”.  If every family did this, we would see change.  It would be inevitable. That is where we’ll start, okay?

Keep your eye out for future videos and be sure to Share them as well as this one via Twitter and Facebook as this will spread the word and make the change happen even quicker.

You’re going to LOVE this video holiday tip!

In the spirit of making life and the holidays easier and less stressful for you I thought I’d re-post a video I made last year.  This was HUGELY popular.  In fact I received so many testimonials from people after the holidays saying thank you because their holidays were magnificent.

One mom even admitted that she had put off travelling to places she had really wanted to visit because she was scared of how her daughter would behave.  She wrote a whole blog post about the first family trip they did and how special it was for she and her family.  I have to admit I teared up because this is the reason I do what I do.  Taking the complexity out of parenting and making it simple and highly effective.  YEAH!

Transform Yourself! Become the Person You Most Admire

Transform Yourself! Become the Person You Most Admire

Have you ever seem someone walking down the street and you admired how they carried them self or put them self together? Have you ever admired someone who seemed to be living their life fully, doing what they love, experiencing things that you’ve always dreamed of doing? What about at work? Have you ever admired another woman at work? How people respected her & how she treated people? What about how she got to where she is?

We’ve all watched someone from afar and wondered how they did something, looked a certain way, or lived the way they did. I believe this is a good thing…IF we use that person as a role model and take action towards becoming more like them, which in essence, is a fuller version of who you want to be.

I have done this many times and I can say that it is possible to become like the person you most admire.

Like many women, I admire Oprah Winfrey. Watching her actions has inspired me to be the international stress-free parenting coach to working moms that I am. She made me believe that my dream was possible. I listened to her words and messages and went for my dream.

I also always admired French women’s sense of ease in dressing. Studying them while living in France made me want to embrace my love of simple, yet chic dressing. I made a decision to stop looking at all the magazines that made me feel like I “should” be wearing what was in fashion, and embraced the way I felt best- dressing as the French do.

There are also women who take a stand on issues and become involved in making a change. These women have shown how to do this and as I studied them I felt I had more of an idea on how I too could leave a legacy.

The key point I want to make is that when admiring someone, don’t judge yourself. Admire and figure out a way to become more like that person.

Some ways to take action are:

1) Interview the person and ask them how they achieved what you’d like to achieve, be it a job, position, style, or way of life. People enjoy sharing!

2) Write down your dream life as if you were living it right now. What would it look like? What would you be doing? How would you look?

3) Create a vision board or mind movie. There are sites online that guide you on how to create one. There is also a free version on Oprah’s Website under the Lifeclass tab. Or, you can do it the old-fashioned way and just grab a bunch of magazines and make your own.
4) Invest in yourself and hire a coach. Coaches help you become clear on what you really want and then guide you towards those goals.

The most important thing to remember is that it doesn’t serve you to admire someone from afar and then just wish you were more like them. Take action towards becoming the person you most admire and then enjoy living life FULLY!
